The Treasure Rocks are collectively referred to as the historical settlements formed around the illegal buildings around the Treasure Rock Temple.

The special cultural landscapes, such as riverside hillsides, Zhangquan temples, and illegally built military villages after the war, were designated as historic buildings by Taipei City, and they were exempt from demolition.
The New York Times even included Treasure Rock as one of Taipei’s most distinctive attractions.
It is as famous as the Taipei 101 building!
