Teacher's Day|Taiwan
【Teachers' Day】
Today is the annual Teacher's Day! In addition to thanking the teachers who have been teaching us, do you know how Teacher's Day comes?
In fact, Teacher's Day on September 28 was a holiday that was revised later. It was first initiated by the National Central University in the 20th year of the Republic of China. Later, the government felt that the spirit of Confucius was enough to be a model for all teachers, and it clearly ordered the birthday of Confucius as Teacher’s Day. Later, experts believed that the birth of Confucius was August 27th in the 22nd year of Xiang Gong (551 BC), which was converted to September 28th in the Chinese calendar. Therefore, in the 41st year of the Republic of China, Teacher's Day was changed to September 28, which was also the birthday anniversary of Confucius.
Every year on Teacher’s Day, various Confucian temples hold Confucian ceremonial ceremony and Shi Dian yi dance. This rigorous Confucian ceremonial ceremony of Confucian worship not only respects Confucius, but is also an important cultural asset of the East Asian world. The government will also issue teacher awards to recognize teachers’ contributions to society.
Pao Bian remembers that when he was studying, on the eve of this holiday, the students would write cards to the teachers who taught us. Now, thanks to the great power of FB, one after another has found previous teachers and classmates, and instead use FB to give blessings and thanks to the teachers! Although it is just a simple greeting and gratitude, I believe that the teachers will feel very heart-warming and will be able to deeply understand the growth and transformation of the students in the past.
